Well, your Foustian philosophy aside, the fact is that there is another
interesting "bath tub" curve when it comes to computers.  They start high
(generally), then dip substantially, flatline for a while, then they start
to climb again.  eBay prices and horders notwithstanding, this concept of
value resurrection is interesting to me.
