On TRS-80, I ran Electric Pencil and Scripsit.
Both had had some trivial mods to also support TRS-232 serial
printer interface and Exatron Stringy Floppy.
The hardware had the Elcompco mods to support Ctrl key, lower case, and
reverse video.
Overall: NOT RECOMMENDED to use tape.
