The listing I read (oh so long ago, in a reading room at Carleton
College in chilly Minnesota) made it look like it was originally written
for the 1800 and backported (or so I recall).  I do remember that the
code looked like it could be assembled to run on either.

I was just looking for magic I bar functions at the time.
