I remember a case when an NCR Century was dropped onto the pier in an
unloading accident. The packing crate was splintered, and the insurance
agent immediately wrote it off. A couple of NCR CEs bought it as scrap,
straightened the bent brackets holding the core modules, and had it up and
running in short time. I think they made a tidy profit on that.
