And I'm more than half tempted to think that would be a good idea.  I 
think my question (which was well marked so that those that don't 
care didn't have to look at it) got a lot better answer than it would 
have if I'd asked on some place like rec.audio.tubes.  Though now 
that I think about it, I think I'll ask there as well and see what 
kind of answers I get :^)

Of course even with some excellent answers both on and off list, I'm 
no closer to knowing what I want to do :^)
