Bids this expensive are usually arranged with an escrow service to avoid
fraud. IMOHO, this particular instrument will get no bids at the $50K
level. While it's rare, a more realistic price might be around $20K. When
you're dealing with "one of a kind" sort of stuff, you buy where they're
sold--and that includes eBay. It's quite possible that a deal will be
arranged between the seller and another party after the auction has ended
with no bids. Ebay is some of the cheapest advertising you can buy for
non-mass produced items.
