A lot of yellowing is simply due to degradation of the pigments contained in most ABS or PC (polycarbonate) cases or the coatings thereon. While you may be able to buff off the discoloration if it's not too bad, your best bet is to simply paint over it. A good job can make an old piece of equipment look like new.
