Hell yeah. I'll take a 6522 VIA over an 8255 any day.

It's Bill Mensch's company - still making the 65C02 and 65C22 after what, 25
years?
I've got a few of their chips here - the 65C02 is fun to play with. Learned a
lot about microprocessors with a combination of reading databooks, feeding it
code and watching what it did on a logic analyser. Good little chip.
