if I were in your situation, the things I'd attempt would be to
  - try and see if Wierd Stuff at least is open past 7pm
  - go to Computer Literacy and shop books,
  - find decent homemade mexican food for dinner
  - See what unique local computer magazines they have 
      at the MegaChainBookStore
