Sun Type 4 keyboards have the right kind of pads. They sun keyboards
use two different types of foam -- one for the "normal" keys, and what I
assume is a more durable type for the most frequently used keys, like
shift, space, return. Taking pads out of an old keyboard of course
means you will have somewhat old pads, but if you can get it at a good
price, then it is hard to argue. To me it also appears that keytronic
figured out a more durable foam material by the time the Sun Type 4
keyboards were produced.
