>From 1901 through 2099, the calendar repeats every 28 years.  If you can
set the system clock to 1977, you'll have the correct day of the week
and leap years for another 22 years, after which you can set it back
to 1977 again.

Some machines, though, are too "smart" to let you set the year to 1977,
but yet not smart enough to handle Y2K correctly.
