BA123/RQDX3 floppy question

thanks!  (I finally found a BA-123 manual also)

I have two other questions:

- can I pull out the distribution board and pop it into another QBUS, say
  on an 11/23+?

- do I need the front panel 'thing' (the led board) or can I leave it 
  disconnected?
