Disk platter identification

OK. I have a disk platter that was donated by another faculty member. He
said he thought it came from a PDP8. I would like to identify it more
precisely if possible. I have attached a photo taken with my cell phone
(limited resolution.) It has an architect's scale sitting on it that shows
it has a radius of 8". It is about 1/4" thick and has holes drilled in the
outside edge to balance it. The red color in the hole is just a binder
sitting under it. I can make other measures if necessary or furnish a higher
res. picture.

Anybody recognize it?

TIA,

Gil
