IBM 9674/2 on epay

pretty good condition for 250$ and comes with a FC interface.
anybody know if this 9674 is capable of operating as a 9672?
Looks like a general G5 machine - but sold as a coupling facility only?
does that mean no expanded memory? would it make a nice little linux box...
