these are formatter daughter boards to a 7000 series tape
drive for 1600bpi Phase Encoded.  there would be NRZI, or
800bpi boards for the deck should one want to configure it
for that mode of operation.

I think the NRZI may have consisted of a single board,
rather than two boards, for the Pertec decks.
