Hmmm, maybe originally, but I've seen STD bus cards for just about any 8-
or 16-bit CPU you could imagine.  Didn't Fujitsu put out a 6809-based STD
bus PC?  I think they called it the FM-7 or some such.

And STD bus is still in use.
