Well, they cribbed from the best.  I like to annoy Macintosh zealots by 
reminding them that, for over a decade, you put a file in the Trash to delete 
it, but when you put a disk in the Trash, it... pops out of the machine.  One 
would assume putting a disk in the Trash would format/erase it.
