Exhibitors get something from a booth, even if nothing is for
sale. Exposure. Exposure brings leads, and leads bring in more toys for
the exhibitor. Some collectors go to shows and exhibit for only this
reason. Ten bucks, or twenty, or a hundred, depending on the show, is
cheap if just one good lead comes up. At most hamfests these days, I make
more money on average from leads I pick up by having a table than the crap
I sell at it.
