Filename Description
-01-10 .90 This is the release date of the disk.
-DOS355 .DOC This is the description of the disk contents.
FAT .EXE 15191 ver. 1.05 [FAT Display 1 of 2]
Displays the chain of clusters (disk allocation units) that
belong to a disk file to determine which file "owns" a
specific cluster or sector. Also displays general information
about a disk. Does not perform any functions that alter the
disk data; it is an inquiry program only.
FAT .DOC 7759 ver. 1.05 [FAT Display 2 of 2]
FAT_PRNT.BAS 4480 ver. 8/15/82 [FAT Print 1 of 2]
Basic program which prints the file allocation table and
directory information from a disk. Requires that the "S"
             flag be set to 512.
FAT_PRNT.DOC 212 ver. 8/15/82 [FAT Print 2 of 2]
GULP .EXE 17920 ver. 8/13/87 [Guld 1 of 2]
File device filling utility which writes one file filling the
entire disk and then erases that file. This will make it
impossible to UNERASE deleted files on the disk and removes
all traces of your files from the disk.
GULP .DOC 1024 ver. 8/13/87 [Guld 2 of 2]
PACKDISK.COM 4549 ver. 1.2 [PackDisk Utilities 1 of 7] <SHAREWARE>
Eliminates file fragmentation on the drive, unallocated space
between files and then re-integrates lost clusters (file
allocation units into the available space on the disk. Also
packs the root directory and subdirectories and frees
             trailing clusters.
DELDIR .COM 3110 ver. 1.2 [PackDisk Utilities 2 of 7] <SHAREWARE>
Deletes a subdirectory together with its files and sub-

Transfers a subdirectory together with its files and
subdirectory into another directory on the same drive.

BOOTSEC .EXE 10274 ver. 5/30/86 [Boot Sector 1 of 3]
Extracts standard disk information that is placed in the boot
sector of most disks and prints it to the screen. Includes
             'C' source.
BOOTSEC .C 2982 ver. 5/30/86 [Boot Sector 2 of 3]
BOOTSEC .DOC 446 ver. 5/30/86 [Boot Sector 3 of 3]
BT .COM 1493 ver. 1.06 [BootThru 1 of 3]
Modify a floppy disk's boot sector so that the boot process
will "fall through" to the hard disk. This avoids the need to
be sure the drive door is open.
BT .ASM 9756 ver. 1.06 [BootThru 2 of 3]
BT .DOC 1691 ver. 1.06 [BootThru 3 of 3]

A Basic program to defragment your drive.
DTL .EXE 6768 ver. 10/1/87 [Drive Table List 1 of 2]
Formats and displays the contents of your ROM's disk type
table, showing the number of cylinders, heads and other
drive characteristics defined for each drive type known to
SETUP. Does not work on XT systems.
DTL .DOC 827 ver. 10/1/87 [Drive Table List 2 of 2]
DISKPACK.EXE 23936 ver. 1.02 [Disk Pack 1 of 2]
Pack fragmented disks by storing contiguous disk clusters
with no unused cluster gaps between files. All directory
entries are arranged so that hidden, system or VOLUME-ID
attributes are placed at the beginning of a directory (in the
root directory, the are left as is; in all others they are
arranged alphabetically). Subdirectories in alphabetic order
are next and then all other directory entries, sorted by name
             follow. Erased entries are discarded.
DISKPACK.DOC 10478 ver. 1.02 [Disk Pack 2 of 2]
DTST .EXE 7074 ver. 1.0 [Disk Tester 1 of 3]
Check out your hard disks. This has the special ability to

Replacement for DOS COPY command which compares the CRC value
of the source file against the CRC of the resulting
destination file. Also checks to see if the file name is
already in use on the destination disk. Can also be used to
move a file from one subdirectory to another.
VCOPY .DOC 16256 ver. 1.30 [Verify Copy 2 of 2] <SHAREWARE>
WPHD .COM 437 ver. Oct2185 [Write Protect Disk 1 of 2]
Use this to write and format protect your hard disk. Useful
for testing new software without danger that something will
be written to the drive. This just toggles the INT 13.
WPHD .DOC 1280 ver. Oct2185 [Write Protect Disk 2 of 2]
FORMAT .BAT 1024 A batch file to force inclusion of A or B drive
identifier. Requires that your FORMAT program be renamed to
4MAT. Useful to protect novices from accidentally formatting
the hard disk. Modify it if you only want to permit
formatting on one or the other of the drives.
SPINTEST.COM 3002 ver. 1.2 [Sector Interleave 1 of 2]
Steve Gibson's Sector Interleave Performance Diagnostic test
is used to determine the performance of hard disk systems.
This is part of the SPINRITE package but only this piece may
             be freely exchanged.

AUTOPARK.COM 943 ver. 5/3/86 [Autopark Hard Disk 1 of 3]
Park the hard disks heads when the drive is not in use. Just
add this to your AUTOEXEC.BAT file and inactivity will get
your heads parked. Probably not needed on newer drives.
             ASM source is included.
AUTOPARK.ASM 21625 ver. 5/3/86 [Autopark Hard Disk 2 of 3]
AUTOPARK.DOC 2434 ver. 5/3/86 [Autopark Hard Disk 3 of 3]
