Ways to Access Information in this Index

There are two primary methods that you can use to locate
   information in this index.  One method is to BROWSE the index;
the other method is to SEARCH the index. Which method you may
find most useful will depend upon what type of information you
are seeking. We will discuss each approach below.

Remember to use PgUp & PgDown to scroll this text

   BROWSE THE INDEX
Browsing this hypertext index is similar to using a printed
index. You can start at the beginning and flip (scroll)
through the entries in order. Or, you can look for a
particular entry within a specific letter group.

When you choose the Browse Index option from the Topic Screen
you will be taken to a sub-menu that lists the letter
divisions of the index. If you want to look at the "Desktop
Publishing" entries, you would choose option 3 (Index Entries
   in the D group).

Within the entry lists, there are many "tagged" terms. You
can "jump" to this related information if you like. Pressing
the Left Arrow key after your jump will return you to the
   previous file screen.

Because this index depends upon a controlled vocabulary, you
might want to look at our vocabulary list before browsing the
index. You can do this by choosing option 5 (Check Out Our
Vocabulary) on the main Topic Screen.

   SEARCH THE INDEX
If you are looking for information on a specific product or
topic, your best strategy might be to search the index. To
initiate a search choose option 6 (Search the Index) on the
   main Topic Screen.

Press the Escape Key to return to the Topic Screen.
