BATDEMO.TXT

BAT SCREEN 1

This is the main menu of PAYUSBAT.COM which processes all pay cycle related
activities. Like PAYUSEDT.COM (employee update) it can be either run on its
own or run as a Menu Choice from PAYUSA.COM . If run from PAYUSA.COM then
the F9 choice will return you to that program, else F9 returns you to DOS.
PAYROLL USA is complete on its own, but can produce output readable (more..)

BAT SCREEN 2

by other programs (F6 Choice). This is the pay cycle date entry screen. Please
be sure to read the notes on it in case these restrictions affect the way you
plan to use PAYROLL USA . It asks for both current and next pay dates (bottom
of screen - covered by this text) and if the next pay year is not equal to the
current pay year then the W2 file is also produced.

BAT SCREEN 3

Here the pay cycle has been done and the user has selected the Print Pay Check
option. Output is designed for Series 54150 Carbonless Multi-Purpose Check
available in 1, 2, or 3 part, Custom imprinted with your Company Name, Address,
and Bank, direct from your local Moore Business Products Office. This check
fits window envelopes, and has a tear off section where we print pay details.

BAT SCREEN 4

For those who prefer to write their own manual checks , or who have cash
payrolls, we have an alternative option that just prints the employees name and
address and the pay details on plain paper to be enclosed with your own check
or cash. Your Company Name and Address is also printed, as a heading, and
the employee name and address is in the correct position for a window envelope.

BAT SCREEN 5

To help avoid any misunderstanding about what the figures on the Payroll
Register represent we give you this message before it is printed. The file
translate utilities simply say which file is currently selected without asking
you to confirm it, that is because it only takes a few minutes to re-do those
and they dont waste paper (unlike the Pay Register) if you got the wrong one.

BAT SCREEN 6

Here is an example of a small file being translated for use with Lotus. As
always an explanatory note appears on the screen. We will look later at the
steps involved with Lotus to get the output file into an actual spreadsheet.

BAT SCREEN 7

Here we are creating a dBASE III .DBF file, ready to process with dBASE.

BAT SCREEN 8

Here we are creating dBASE II files - again ready to use, but more complex
than dBASE III because of the limitations of the older version of dBASE.
Because dBASE II forces us to split the records, we have put key information
in each of the output databases so you can link them together.

BAT SCREEN 9

And here is output for that great "ShareWare" database manager, Jim Button's
PC-File. These files are also readable by Jim's relational database manager,
PC-FILE/R - which is not a "ShareWare" program. Again we have key information
in each file to enable you to link them together by employee. We can look at
an example later of how to get them into PC-File.

BAT SCREEN 10

This is the interface to NewViews Accounting. The output can be imported into
the NewViews system and we have provided full intructions in a seperate .DOC
file.

BAT SCREEN 11

You may also print out employee mailing labels. Print Sequence is same as
PAYUSA.DTA file, normally (after a pay cycle) in Employee Status,
Pay Method, Surname, Firstname order.

BAT SCREEN 12

You may wish to print out a copy of basic Employee Information, exactly as
displayed on the first 3 employee screens of PAYUSEDT.COM, and file it in your
Personnel Files. Print Sequence is same as PAYUSA.DTA file, normally (after
a pay cycle) in Employee Status, Pay Method, Surname, Firstname order.
