Hi,
What follows in the mail is the lates version of Mackermit.
The following is a list of newly added features:

	1) Better terminal simulation (includes tab settings
and the execution of several escape sequences as
specified by the berkley VT100 termcap entry).

	2) A debug option, which causes the current packet to be
displayed until the mouse button is pressed.

	3) Pressing a key during execution causes the mac to
resend the last packet, or a NACK, like the IBM PC
	   kermit.

I hope all is going well, let me know if I can be of any further
assistance.

Steve

Here is the new version of mackermit. It differs from the old version
in the following ways:
	1) It has debug option which displays the contents
of each packet until a key is pressed.

	2) It remembers terminal settings.

	3) Pressing a key during transfer causes Mackermit to
resend the last packet (useful if the packet length
	   is distorted during transmission).

Again, I apologize for taking so long on this, and please let me know
how Mackermit is or is not working.

Steve,

Using the new version of MacKermit from [SUMEX]<INFO-MAC>KERMIT
.RSRC or .DL I have had trouble getting MacKermit to communicate
properly. Although this new version saves the BAUD setting in the
controls from one run to the next, I have found it necessary to reset
the BAUD setting from 1200 to 9600 and then back to 1200 again before
MacKermit uses the appropriate setting. Although the program saves the
settings, it appears to not use the saved settings until they are
changed from within controls.

I have also noted previously mentioned problems in CONNECT mode
that delete still deletes one to many characters on the screen and
MacKermit often hangs while receiving a large number of short lines
(like after a DIR command).

The new OPTION Executable is very nice allowing one to download
8-bit RSRC files from TOPS-20 directly to an application file.
