RT-11 NATURAL IMAGE DISPLAY PROGRAM for the PC350 Natural images are displayed by running the program IMAGE.SAV and providing natural image files as input. Up to 6 files may be specified on a CSI input line. The available switches for IMAGE are: /C Specifies that the image files are color (180 blocks long) - Must be used with a color monitor and the extended bitmap option. /M Specifies that the image files are monochrome (60 blocks long) - Can be used with any monitor. /W:nnn Number of seconds to wait between frames. Default = 5. Note that /C and /M cannot be used together in a single CSI line. Natural Image File Format Picture files contain three 60 block grids concatenated together. There is one grid for each color and the grids are in the order red, green and blue. Each grid is a 256 horizontal by 240 vertical matrix of pixels listed in row major order. Each pixel contains four bits which specify the intensity of a single color at a single pixel. Each file contains 180 blocks. This is derived from: (256 horizontal) x (240 vertical) x (4 bits/pixel) x (3 colors/picture) / (4096 bits/block) = 180 blocks Monochrome picture files contain a single 60 block grid.
