Subject: Re: * Monthly Melbourne OS/2 SIG Meeting *

I've done some checking of past notification messages and since I last
went mad and cleaned out the trash folder in firefox

Meeting date Date shown in message header
	Date shown in listing
25 Aug 1/01/1970 12:14PM 20/08/2009 7:50AM
22 Sept 1/01/1970 11:02AM 17/09/2009 5:58PM
27 Oct 1/01/1970 11:02AM 25/10/2009 11:33PM
24 Nov 1/01/1970 11:02AM 28/11/2009 4:36PM
Dec no meeting 1/01/1970 12:13PM 16/01/2010 12:15AM
26 Jan 1/01/1970 12:13PM 2/04/2010 5:30PM
23 Feb 1/01/1970 12:13PM 2/04/2010 5:30PM
23 Mar 1/01/1970 12:14PM 16/03/2010 11:42PM
27 Apr 1/01/1970 12:14PM 25/04/2010 10:20AM
25 May 1/01/1970 12:14PM 20/05/2010 11:16PM

The date shown in the header panel is different to the date in the
message listing.
Note the time shown in the message header is different to the time in
the listing.
Also that they repeat and change in blocks.
The time in the listing is also wrong, at least it is for the yesterdays
message and so I suspect for the others as well.
Yesterday when it only displayed the time i seem to feel that it was
correct, but it's to late to check it now.
Also the listing dates and times for Jan and Feb are identical, which I
think is wrong.

It only seems to be a problem in the meeting notification messages.
Ian's normal messages seem to be shown correctly.

Anyway I've wasted enough time on this.

Dennis.

List archives are available off the subscription page, which leads you
to <http://www.os2site.com/list/digest/> if anyone really wants to bother

I only went back to last months and that to has :-

"Date: Tue, 20th April 2009 23:59:59 +1000 (EST)"

So I'd better remember to change the year :-)

Hi Mike,

>Isn't that scriptable, to automate it?

It use to be all automated but then the auto ran out.

It's on my todo list, along with a lot of other things I have really ment
to do, but as I get older, the bigger the list grows :o)

I've also tried doing it via Googel Calendar/GMail but it will only do it
for
me, I cant get it to send the reminders to the list, and I rarelt check my
gmail, so I didnt get back to that one either.

I could do it now but my eye balls are stressing, and well, tomorrow will
have its own problems to keep me busy.

Hi John,

As a lapsed SSS subscriber I am entitled to a copy of eCS 2.0 now that it has
finally come out. But while this is mentioned on the web page
<http://shop.mensys.nl/cgi-bin/db2www/mns_art2.d2w/report?catname=eComStation#List>
nowhere is there a web page option to choose and download it.

Am I supposed to sign up again for a SSS subscription.?

Software Subscription Services:
If you have previously bought Software Subscription Services, you are entitled
to receive the GA version of eComStation 2.0, even the subscription expired.

Anyone know how.?

(As usual, the Mensys web pages are as clear as mud.)

Robert Traynor (BobT).

Hi Bob,

Mensys will contact you by e-mail and include a download link plus your
new eCSV2.0 key!
They are hoping to have that done this week rather than next, according
to the response i got from Joachim Benjamins of Mensys.

Mike

Hi Ed. Doug.

This is coming to you (if we're really lucky), from a Vodafone 3G
modem/donle thing through the IBM Thinkpad R40 via a Netcomm 3GT1
Portable Router, in fixed LAN Mode. It will be interesting to see if
this makes it to OS2Genau.

It's taken a bit of a fight to get here, but the secret seems to be to
set it in LAN mode, to get the modem to do it's thing with the 3G
Dongle, then to fire the computer up. As I write, this is going back
to "green" which might mean GPRS strength, or no connection at all.
Probably doesn't help to live at the foot of the Darling Ranges, in
Perth, either :-)

Well, here goes. Open the manual and configure the Wireless bit tomorrow.

Regards

NICK

Sorry, Bob, I never had a SSS before, so I didn't check that aspect.

I did see that previous SSS people would get an email offer, though.
