First of all - thanks for your patience and help Kris - this shouldn't
be this difficult and I'm sure at the end of the day it's going to turn
out to be something stupid !

Plugin directory is set to SET MOZ_PLUGIN_PATH=F:\INTERNET\SEAMONKEY\PLUGINS

Removing the flash related files from the Plugin directory the abort
does not occur, SM displays the jigsaw puzzle icon where the flash
content is, which when clicked you are asked if you wish to find the
required plugin, if you try it comes back and says it can't find one of
course.

www.ecomstation dot com does use flash for the bouncing CDs advertising the
demo download CD I think.

I am trying to install Flash 7 at present. Should I try to install Flash
5 and see if I get a similar problem then ?

Cheers/2

Ed.

Have you got rid of the default mozilla installation

Also get rid of references to Mozilla in the config.sys.

Also get rid of any references to Mozilla and the default browser from
the os2 and os2sys ini files.

Regards
Dennis.

From my web site (see my sig line), you can download my little internet
application integration tool,

http://www.7cities dot net/%7Emckinnis/code/iai1040.exe

that will set the proper values in os2.ini and install the run!.exe
support as needed.

Hi Chuck, thanks for this - I already have your useful utility and have
used it - unfortunately no change to the aborts from flashwin.dll.

Thanks anyway

You're right, they do.

The say the least, that IS a bit strange while promoting an os with poor
flash suppoort.

As it works here good with Flash 7.r61, that would be useless anyway.
Sorry to say, but it looks very much to me the combination FF/TB has
jeorpadized your system ... and it still are the conflicting dll files
you should look after.

Hi Kris, Ed,

The bouncing Cds on ecomstation dot com work fine here with Flash5 R67 here,
in eCS V2.0 Beta4!

I definately agree with you Kris.

I want to avoid a total wipe and re-install just for a browser, but at
the end of the day, that may be the only way to get to the bottom of this.

Thanks Kris, I have tried several versions - one of which I definately
know worked with Firefox but I'll try these as we know these are working
on your system.

There also appears to be different ipluginw.xpi files - I just tried a
different one and it gave me a XPCOM error when I restarted SM.
