would this run on Java/2 ?

----------
Thinking Rock is a pure Java application. You will need a Java Runtime
Environment (JRE) version 1.5.0. If you are using a Macintosh, you will
need Mac OS 10.4 at the minimum. It has been tested on Linux (Fedora 4),
Mac OS X (10.4.7) and Windows (XP).

Hi Voytek,

AFAIK the latest is still the Innotek version 1.4.2-09

I'd give it a whirl if you have above or Golden Code's 1.4.1 [?], just
to see whether it _really_ needs 1.5 for everything or just some
new/enhanced features in it?

Subject:   Mplayer

Hi,

Recently installed Mplayer. It works fairly well and better than any
that I have tried to install in Linux as it's a problem getting and
installing the decoder for wmv files in Linux.
All my wmv files play OK with Mplayer. However it would be good if it
had a GUI as the command line is a bit of a pain.

Subject:   Exploder-centric directions

Hi All,

I need to log in to a web page of an organisation but they only give
instructions for using Exploder. I have searched through the Preferences
in Mozilla and can't identify what might be similar.

The instructions are below. I presume there is a Mozilla equivalent.
Many thanks if someone can translate.
---------------------
The VGC Interactive Database and Forums are hosted on a secure server
linked to the main VGC website. Microsoft Internet Explorer has a
security feature that _*prevents you from logging into the database*_ in
the main website frame unless you have first added the following site to
your list of trusted sites. https://vault2.secured-url dot com If you are
uncertain how to do this click on *Login -Display in New Window*

To view the Interactive Database and Forums in the main website Window
you must do the following first! (You only need to do this once)

    * On the Internet Explorer Top Tool Bar:-
    * Select Tools-Internet Options-Security Tab-Trusted Sites
    * Click on sites and add this website to zone.
    * * https://vault2.secured-url dot com/vgcssl*
    * Then click ADD
    * Click OK and Click OK to close window
    * Now you can *Login - Display in Main Window*

Hi Alan

The file you need is w32codecs. It's very common and available from
many places. Simply Google w32codecs and you'll find it.

Cheers
Kev

Narrow it down, do a search on "w32codecs+os2" or goto
http://www.os2site dot com/sw/mmedia/codec/index.html
and download wincodecs_new.zip - also available
from Netlabs ftp - ftp://ftp dot netlabs dot org/pub/wvgui/wincodecs/
think I got the URL right.

Hi Leigh,

Actually I don't think *you* under OS/2 have to do *anything* in this
regard - it's only the poor slobs who *have* to use IE who need to
*allow* their computer to access that secure site! Otherwise IE would
block it immediately?! ;-)

Have you attempted to get there with any of the mozilla "family"?

Regards,
Mike
