Subject: Following on from the os2 SIG meeting

Hi All,

Following on from the Melbourne os2 SIG meeting last night.
Here is the URLs concerning the discussion and succesful demo
install of Audio/Data-CD-Creator and CDRecord/2 for os/2.

Brief Quote:-
The objective of these pages is to provide everything necessary for
writing CDs with OS/2. Here's also a new home of CDRecord/2,
Audio/Data-CD-Creator and the other programs written or ported
by me. The pages are under construction so there may be dead
links. You may have a look at my homepage on Geocities:-

Enjoy!

This file has most of the files needed to install Cdrecord etc
and is about 4.3 mb in size (only missing EMX as most should
have this already):-
<http://members.optusnet dot com dot au/rtraynor/Cdrecrd2.zip>

TIP:- If you already have the DaniAtapi drivers installed, make sure
they are the latest version and also be aware that you MAY not require
ANY parameters on the DaniAtapi.FLT line of your config.sys.

TIP 2: If you use the automatic install for the ASPI drivers. Be aware
that the file ?:\os2\boot\OS2ASPI.DMD may be back leveled.
Make a backup copy first, install Aspi Router and then check and restore
your backup file if needed. Reboot and then install the Cdrecord package.

Here is the relevant (to CdRecord/2) lines of my config.sys with
all the non relevant bits removed except for a few which should
show their relative position.

DEVICE=D:\OS2\BOOT\OS2CDROM.DMD
rem DEVICE=D:\OS2\BOOT\jjscdrom.dmd substitute jjscdrom.dmd for OS2CDROM.DMD if you also have RSJ installed

BASEDEV=DANIS506.ADD Dani IDE driver for hard disks

BASEDEV=OS2DASD.DMD eCS standard driver not in Warp4
BASEDEV=OS2LVM.DMD eCS standard driver not in Warp4

BASEDEV=OS2SCSI.DMD   standard scsi support driver
BASEDEV=AICU160.ADD   my scsi card driver.

BASEDEV=DANIATAP.FLT /EJ /v   Dani Atapi driver

BASEDEV=OS2ASPI.DMD /ALL
DEVICE=D:\OS2\BOOT\ASPIROUT.SYS  Aspi driver

Hope this helps,
Regards,
Robert Traynor (BobT).
