Have you tried the other obvious thing, using the "Seek and Scan 
Files"tool.
If "NS_FOLDER" is a real folder then you will find it with this tool

In the 'Filename to search for:' enter "*NS_FOLDER\*.*" 
Select 'All fixed disks' 
Click on 'Search' and if the folder exists, it will be shown.

I assumed that this would have been the first thing you would do.
It either exists physicaly on the system or is a phantom entry in one of
the ini files.
