Hello Ed,

For what it's worth ... WarpEnhancer was very slow on my Thinkpad 770ED =

when opening folders with lots (i.e., > a few hundred) objects. It often=
 =

hung the Workplace Shell. Also I suspect either WE or the Scitech Displa=
y =

Doctor drivers of major corruption to my OS2.INI and OS2SYS.INI files --=

hence the recent scratch install of the MCP. I won't be reinstalling =

either of those.

I wonder if WE is affected by the random bus mastering issue on the 770s.=
  =

Perhaps I should try it with bus mastering turned off.

Regards,
Simon Coulter.

Thanks for the Input Simon. I think the conclusion is to avoid Warp
Enhancer
on the current level of Warp. I have used it on earlier version without
ANY
problems. Shame it's not till being developed.

Cheers/2

Yes, But I want to get away from multiple applications (yes I
know I'm running l-switch, X-File and X-Workplace at the moment)
Less is more as they say. Perhaps I take a look at Styler/2 perhaps
it (on it's own can cover more of the options that I'm looking for?).

By the way - on X-Workplace does anyone understand how to get
it's shutdown panel to replace the standard one. as far as I can
see, I have to drill down through X-workplace menus to find
their Shutdown object.

Cheers/2

you can option it to place X shutdown on the desktop right
click menu where you can choose between standard and x
shutdown.

I tend to use the shutdown option in the Warp Centre bar. Warp
Enhancer replaced that one, so however you chose shutdown,
you'd get the shutdown or shutdown/restart option box.

Hey the system is hanging up any more - I should be happy !
