Yes, see your point. I had forgotten that it happened with v2 also.

Yes, 'doze platform. There is an equivalent to RedMon in the Win-sphere. I
will email you from work with the details.

I have a PDF printer set up on OS/2 as well, using PSCRIPT driver, and port
redirection to file. I create a *.ps file which I then read in GSView for
OS/2, and convert to PDF.

Thanks for this. I guess the code will need to work specifically with
Firefox for what I am considering. Of course if I try to set something
up, inevitably a new compiler function will become available (I wonder
if the problem is QT4 related?) and FF/2 v3.x will get fixed making my
work a waste of time!

If I can capture the FF PDF Print output and route it to the OS/2 print
queue which in turn goes to the eCUPS daemon though, it "shouldn't" take
too much work to set it up ...... (famous last words).

Ed,

last time I tried that, the resulting output files were huge, maybe 20x
bigger that windoze created PDF files, is that still the case ?

Yes all v 3.x versions of FF create a PDF file on the desktop instead of
printing to a printer (even though you select a particular printer).

I wouldn't know as I do have this feature yet (don't even know if it
will be possible). I'd much prefer to have Firefox fixed so that it
prints directly to a print queue.

Nope - very compact.

The .ps files are huge but the convert function in GSView fixes that.
