Check you haven't accidentally pushed the small bar between the two
"mouse" keys, this sometimes messes up T4x thinkpads.

Odd, no bounces from Voytek now either, thought maybe it was

Must be the central National email filtering acting up, the one

I enabled numlock in the BIOS. Now 67890uiopjklm,./ keys do not
work when entering the password on bootup. So my main
pc is out of action as I cannot even get into the BIOS without the
password.

How do I fix this???

TIA
Wayne

Hi all

I had to use a pc not often used so I have an excuse for sending an
email so horribly out of date. Yes I have seen the T40 lock when hitting
that middle bar (button) by mistake. The cure was to turn numlock off
using Shift+Numlock.

Cheers
Wayne

It was my machine out of date. After Ian's msg, I corrected the date and
resent the msg. So that still means:- Voytek's ISP is not accepting old
mail.

Cheers

Hi Wayne,

Putting Time868 in that OS/2 PC's Startup folder would prevent that
[clock problem] from happening!

Mike

Hi Mike

I had changed the date on that machine trying to get PMSPY32.EXE
running. Haven't been able to run it for many years. I will lookup what
Time868 is though.

Cheers

Hi Ian,

In Thunderbird here I always have messages sorted chronologically, in
ascending date order, so it was pretty obvious when the folder opened
many, many screens back from the current traffic. When that occurs I
always do a "save as" of the message to examine the raw message with all
headers.

Regards,
Mike

ISP does, but, I don't
I run my own mail server, with a variety of anti UCE measures, dates in
the past or in the future are just some of these
