Hi Dennis,

I was about to ask the same thing about Flash video off Youtube dot com -
there are currently five clips [4 * ~26 mins + 1 * ~13 minutes] from the
1993 "OS/2 NT Shootout" in Houston, Texas - which although poor video,
is enlightening for anyone who hasn't seen them - just search there on
the quoted item.

Regards,
Mike

Dennis,

You'll find that they're mostly in the .flv format. That's right -
..FLV. The best I've come across in a non-Windoze specific application
is a Thunderbird extension called DownloadHelper
(https://addons.mozilla dot org/en-US/firefox/addon/3006). Once you have
the .flv file on your hard drive you'll need either a .flv player or a
conversion program which will convert a .flv to something more useable.
I've only found Windoze tools for either of these operations so far. A
bit of Googling will find several offerings.

Cheers
Kev

If you're talking Windoze there are some programs that can capture the
streamed file from IEs temp folder.

As for OS/2 I don't know.

Cheers/2

Hi Ed/Dennis

I guess I probably do it the hard way, I goto the cache directory,
do a "dir/o:d" when I've finished watching, use e to check the file
has 'flv' at the start and copy that file to \whatever.flv

For those sneaky sites that clear the cache when you leave it,
I use TOP to kill Seamonkey, then grab it :-)
Though most leave the file in the cache when its finished
playing anyway (no-expire on release)

Hi,

Does anyone have info as to when eComStation 2 is likely to be released.
It seems to be taking a long time. I know the Beta version is available
for software subscription members.

Alan Duval

We have been advised not to hold our breath until then as that would be very unhealthy.

Perhaps early spring next year?
