Ed,
The trick in backing up the .cfg files is to have Hank
Kelders wptools.dll which has a function to enable
the query . I just checked and it is included in the
compline.zip. A desktop backup picks up the
relevant .cfg files and puts them in a traysx.cfg
grouping where x is the relevant trays archive number
in the desktop backups archive. If you loose the
warp centre there is a restore command just for
the warp centre itself which pulls data from the
traysx.cfg you want.
The desktop backup uses rar32 ( an update for
os/2 just recently) to make sfx files ( the os/2sfx stub
is with the unrar program) ... anyway I expect you
know all this......
 Works here.

Mike

Hi Mike,

No I didn't know all of that - greatly appreciated. Since modifying
the os2.key file, the problem hasn't occurred again, so I can't test if
I can restore OK (I suppose I could manually remove the objects from my
trays but that's not exactly the same situation as I have experienced a
few times, so I'll just wait for the problem to return. If I find that
doesn't work, I'll certainly take a look at Hanks tools.

Cheers/2

Ed.
