lists the following dependencies:
* the standard GNOME libraries (they are now optional, but we recommend 
using them to have the full-featured Ekiga).
* the OPAL and PWLIB libraries (See download section of this website).
* the OpenLDAP library (Included in your distribution)
* the SDL library (Included in your distribution). Having SDL is 
optional, but if you compile Ekiga without SDL, the fullscreen feature 
will be unavailable.

Now the Gnose libraries we don't have - except for use within Xfree86 so 
that's out - however it implies that SDL can be used in place of Gnome 
which we do have.

I also have a build of Openldap so we're OK there, so theoretically at 
least, we just need the Opal and Pwlib libraries - not sure what would 
be involved in building these...
