Available on SWC, as well as IBM Browser v1.10 as of 31st Jan :-)
Not sure why IBM have taken so long to put both these, and all
the updated drivers on the website, as they are all from November.
It may just have been xmas, and now that everyones back...

http://service.boulder.ibm dot com/asd-bin/doc/en_us/catalog.htm

This TCPIP apparently has a few fixes over CP2, the IBM Browser v1.1
is also very stable, so far...

Anyone in Melbourne that can show me proof of eCS Up, or IBM's SWC,
I'm happy to provide copies on CDR at the Feb meeting as the files are
not small. Note, having eCS is not enough, you need to show that you
have paid for eCSUP (Upgrade).

This is only a service for those with slow modem links.

You can get Mark to email me confirming you have eCSUP, as for
IBM SWC, I'll have to think about how you validate that to me, or
I may not be able to provide it.

Oh, ok, I'll check, and in that case, I'm happy to make it available

Do you know if the Browser v1.1 is also available to everyone ?

I've had a bit of a play on some of the other staffs' A series and it seems to be a real
Thinkpad. Although having said that, the previous laptops that these staff had were
Acer travelmates. Quite different from the A series, but who knows. Would IBM tell me if
they were re-badged Acers?

The way the network has been setup is really wierd. We do have a switch, I have seen
it, BUT not all connections are running through it. I don't know why. The hub for the QMS
is in the boss's office; no chance of conecting to it (or playing with the printers network
settings). I think all of our hubs are going into the one router, but again there is that
switch. I've had a look at the lables for each connections that the cabling guys
attatched to see which hubs are plugged into what, but I seem to have lost my magic
decoder ring from the last Happy Meal I bought.

I've though about this. It would be a great idea....if I actually owned the laptop. I don't,
so it won't happen. How it is at work is this. I am not the IT co-ordinator, but I run around
fixing her stuff-ups. I ask for anything in the way of hardware, she goes to the boss. The
boss has learned to send an e-mail, so is now a computing genius, and will ALWAYS
say no rather than ask why I need the item. Oh well.

Oh yeah, Warp connect does have LPRPORTD. I found it yesterday.

Gavin

Well if Warp 3 has LPRPORTD, go for it - print directly to the QMS.
You will need to know it's IP address and the queue name in use. If
you have access to the NT Print server, these settings will be in the
printer object. The printer may even have a name registered with your
DNS (if you have one) - if so use this instead of the IP address.

For details on setting up IP printing under OS/2 - check the following
web site for a very well done description:

I just checked at IBM SWC. Both the TCP/IP update and the Browser v1.1 were
in the same area.

Doesn't that mean that they are available to the same "target markets" ie
people/owners of OS/2, on the same terms?

Just asking, boss! <g>

They are available to SWC customers from IBM via the SWC website.

For eCS customers the TCPIP update is considered a fix/update to a feature included
in eCS 1.0

the IBM Web Browser was not part of eCS or the Convenience pack and is therefore
available only to SWC subscribers and to eCSUP (eCS Upgrade Protection) customers.
