thanks Ed, I was more interested in 'real life feedback' than hypothetical info.

the redbooks are good, I actually bought some real copies, fwiw
(i was able, in the past, to get them from IBM for what seemed like very cheap price, infact, to print PDF on a laser printer would have cost more just in paper)

but it's not a substitute for a practical solution.....

Hi Voytek,

This is scheduled for testing. Expect to have it implemented & running
by the end of July.
Windoze support is fine. Will be able to offer my services then.

These two books are indeed Very good.

I'm not sure whether you can simply download the PDF from
the web site and print it or whether these are a chargable item.

Worst case, let me know if you don't get any further info, and I
can scan in the relevant pages and send them to you (hoping it's
only a few relevant pages).

It seems that VIA have removed the link for their os2 drivers as I can't
find them now. I've downloaded the patch from hobbes but I need the
drivers. Anyone has a valid link or please email the drivers if you
have it.

Stan,
Don't waste your time with the Via OS/2 driver. Use the package from hobbes and the
SBPro driver - that will at least work! If you need more info - let me know.

You can still get the OS/2 audio driver from Via it's contained inside the Win95/98/Me
archive which is a self extracting arj or rar file (can't remember which) or I can just email
you a zip of the os2 directory.

Let me know.

Regards,

Paul.
