Have you tried changing network cables and ports on your hub ? I don't
know Lantastic but this one way affect, can be caused by faulty network
cabling.

To all prople that say OS/2 is dead I can only say " Don't be such
a bunny - take off your Windoze ears and open your two - OS/2 eyes".

Whoops - looks like I dropped a clanger here - Ian is corect the first
parameter does indeed show minimum free space. I was getting mixed up
with some database allocation rules that I used years ago.

and if you don't want/aren't able to use the SDD drivers
there are actually specific NVidia OS/2 drivers too. It
seems that OS/2 can't see more than 3MB of video RAM though
so don't expect dramatic speed increases

I've seen that map, the wierdest thing I've ever seen!

Give it another few 100 years, and the noth pole will have swapped to the
south (if not sooner).

Subject: [os2genau] RIPLing workstations

Hi,
I was talking to my housemate & we were looking at perhaps RIPLing
diskless workstations & our Internet gateway.

There were 3 reasons for this:
1)
Reduced hardware costs
2)
Reduced power consumption
3)
Absolute control over Standard Operating Environments, (SOE).

Obviously we are also introducing a single point of failure:- the RIPL
server. If that screws we have also lost our Internet gateway

You could argue why not make one server for:
file server
RIPL Server
Internet Gateway

But that sounds like too many eggs in one basket at the moment.

What I want to know is I'm really looking to support 2 strains of OS/2:
Warp 4 fully FixPaked to TCP/IP v4.21
eCS

I make Warp Servers on OS/2 Warp 4, viz:
OS/2 Warp 4 fully FixPaked with LAN Server 5.00 installed on it.

I heard somewhere that the RIPL server doesn't work on an OS/2 Warp 4
codebase.
Has anyone tried this?
