Hi All

Its been a long haul, but, after a long wait :-)
I've just received my OS/2 Warp v4.51 Convenience Pack !
Delivered by DHL Worldwide Air Express from Singapore.

Has anyone tried installing over the top of standard Warp v4 ?
If so, any gottas I should watch out for ?

I dug up this rather old WarpCast article on IRC Clients. The information
still seems to be surprisingly worthwhile. I hope this helps Darryl with
his quest for an IRC Client...

Cheers,

Two of the largest and oldest Internet Relay Chat channels devoted to
OS/2 have merged! In an effort to bolster the presence of an OS/2
support community on IRC, The Undernet and EFnet #OS/2 channels have
joined forces. If you're looking for an informal, polite atmosphere
to discuss OS/2, stop by our channels. We would also like to enourage
old regulars to come visit.

under the rules that have successfully governed the Undernet #OS/2
channel for over five years.

Hi Ian,

I did exactly that put MCP over Warp4 fixpack #15 with tcpip 4.1
and all tcpip and mpts fixes for 4.1.

The first time it worked perfectly.
The installation warns that Voice Type, PMfax, VideoIn and some
others were not supported, but these can be re-installed later, if needed.

It created the usual "Previous desktop" folder but it only worked
correctly the first time. If you do it a second time most of your
previous folders are all empty.

Otherwise it did work.

I then tried a eCS upgrade. This I would NOT advise.
You end up with "Desktop" and "Desktop1" both running in tandem.
Do anything to one and the system is unusable.

I have a hard drive with partition table problems so I will be unable to
reply to this list for a while. Currently using a spare hard disk
and Win98.

Bye for now.
