Subject: [os2genau] Problems with ODIN and CP1FP1

I seem to have found a problem with ODIN ( Jul 19 Build) and Convience
pack1
fixpack1.
Following upgrade with CP1FP1, I get the following error at boot up from
Win32k.sys
(win32 support loaded for ODIN):

Probe kernal failed with rc=-22731 iproc=0

However if I run a Win32 app (such as Notes 5) using pe.exe rather than
relying on
the auto-recognition supplied by win32k.sys the program still runs ! I
suspect Odin
simply does not recognise the new kernal implemented by CP1FP1.

Has anone else on this list experience the same error, or could it just
be my configuration ?

Ed Durrant.

Try the kernals released this morning at testcase, remember to backup
the CP1FP1 kernal !

These are at

ftp://testcase.boulder.ibm dot com/ps/fromibm/os2/
http://www.os2site dot com/sw/upgrades/upgrades.html
http://www.os2site dot com/sw/upgrades/fixpack15/extra/

Fixes the following.

PJ28027: trap in KMQueryClientRegister reallocating a trace buffer
PJ28068: trap 000e in clock$ where sslim is ffffffff (during JFS activity)
PJ28076: "trapdump [PD|NOPD]" disables the procdump.exe command
JR13789: drives object does not reflect change in directory entries

Yes, but you're taking the universe out of context.

Thanks Ian I'll try that kernal. I'll also see if there's a new weekly build of ODIN.

I seem to be getting improved results from every new version of Odin ! More apps
are at least loading, many still don't work reliably but things are going in the right

direction !
