Phew!! I nearly updated my danis506. It pays to be a Voicenews
subscriber.

DANIS506R138.ZIP
New release of Daniela's IDE driver. NOTE: There is a conflict between
the VIA 596B chipset and release 1.3.8 of the Dani driver.
The symptoms vary, even on the same system, and can even prevent it from
booting up. Check your owner's manual to see if your motherboard has
this chipset. If it does, you should either not install this driver, or
only do so under test conditions. Daniela is working to correct this
problem.

My mobo is a Gigabyte GA-6VXE7+. I have just noted that Gigabyte has
released a BIOS update (dated 31/1/2001) to correct the problem of OS/2
not seeing >64M. Now that I have applied Dani's patchldr, I guess there
is no point in flashing the BIOS, however it just goes to show that
there still _some_ OS/2 support by hardware manufacturers - amazing!

Cheers,
