Longevity of DVD-R and CD-R / 2-Media Hedge

Although your reply was probably meant as sarcastic, it drives home the point 
that you should always have at least two copies of data that is important to 
you.  If you copied all your CDs over to DVD and then discarded the CDs, that 
would be foolish.  (Not directing this at you specifically, just in general.)
