Actually ISTR that it was originally developed on an IBM 1130, which
is how it became to be called Forth.  The 1130 was described as a "third 
generation computer" and Chuck Moore considered his language a "fourth
generation computer language" and wanted to call it "Fourth".  But the
1130 only permitted five character identifiers, so it became "Forth".
