Born in 1956, learned to program in FORTRAN in 1969 on the University's
mainframe (IBM 360). First personal computer was a TRS-80 Model 3 in
1982. I still have my second computer, TRS-80 Model 4, in good working
condition. Worked on the SAGE (AN/FSQ-7) system in the Air Force in 1983.
Learned Unix and C in 1984 and am still doing it as a Senior Research
Programmer for Penn State. Worked on HP3000 systems (hardware
maintenance) in 1986-88, everything from Series III to Model 6X.
