Yep, I've had the opportunity to visit with rural folks (not necessarily
rednecks!)
in Maine, Michigan, Ohio, Missouri, Iowa, and elsewhere, and they are all
pretty
much the same.  The old hound dog outside still smells like a dog and the
folks
still cut and split their firewood to burn in the fireplace or wood stove.
