I think the other HP BASIC mark sense card on Doug Jones' site is for
a standalone batch oriented (non-timesharing) system that ran on the
2116.  I vaguely recall hearing that our school district had previously
replaced such a batch system with the HP 2000C TSB system that I used.

The story as I heard it was that they started with a single mark-sense
reader at the central site, so the card decks were physically sent there,
and the listings sent back, then they put mark-sense readers and modems
at the individual schools, but the listings still were sent back.  So
TSB using ASR33 teletypes in the schools was a huge advance.
