The HP test equipment group was separate from the Corvalis Division, who
produced the HP Calculators, the HP95/100/200 handhelds, and the first
generation Omnibooks (the Omnibook 300 is a uniquely cool portable with
a lot of revolutionary 'first' design elements, some of which have never
been repeated or equalled.) Corvalis died a seperate death from the
Test Equipment people, who at least were split off instead of just
snuffed out.
