Ok, I can see clearly now.  The bootstrap on the DSD controller is
disabled.  This makes sense as it originally came out of the generic LSI
11/23 system that has the M9400-YA.  I remember determining that before
but completely forgot about it during all my swapping.  Now that the card
is back in the original system it's working fine.

The RK05 controller is installed, but no drive is attached.  Would this
prevent that command from working?

I'm also surprised the AL/AR commands don't work.  I get back AL? or AR?
when I try to issue them.
