Yes, which now makes sense, since the original controller card that was in
the system, the MXV21, has its own boot PROM.  I removed the
clock/calendar because the batteries had all leaked and it was a general
mess.  I believe that was the mistake in all this.

The memory is an M8044-DC (32Kword 16-bit MOS, if that tells you what you
need to know).
