I knew that. ;)  Gives me some more sites to look at anyway...

No worries - it's commonly done! 

Think there's a place for seperate sections on I/O devices or
communications or something? I'm sure there are people with webpages
dedicated to modems or networking hardware/protocols, or who do strange
things with dot matrix printers etc.  Maybe there are such things that
form natural categories of their own there along with
computers/calculators/software etc...
