It should be straight composite video.

You might check with the webmaster of (and check the links):

OSI's used straight discreet logic for video, there are to programmable 
timing registers.  With power applied you should get valid video signals 
even if the rest of the computer is dead.

This makes debugging easier, you only need to look in the video section, 
with newer computers the CPU has to start the video meaning you have to get 
more working just to know whats wrong.
